Sialkot, Daska, According to unconfirmed and unofficial results of the second by-election in Daska NA-75, Syeda Noshin Iftikhar of PML-N I) defeated Ali Asjad Malhi, Noshin Iftikhar got 111,220 votes, while PTI's Asjad Malhi got 92,019 votes.

Polling was more peaceful than on February 19. Strict security arrangements were created for the polling. 10 teams of Pakistan Army remained present as Quick Response Force. Section 144 remained in force in Constituency 75.

Rangers arrested 6 members of PML-N and 3 members of PTI for displaying weapons. PML-N candidate Iftikhar Ali arrived in the morning to cast his vote, while PTI candidate Asjad Mehli did not cast his vote.

According to details, the polling process for NA-75 started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm. In the by-election, a contest was held between Ali Asjad Malhi of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Syeda Noshin Iftikhar of PML-N. 

The total number of voters in the constituency is 494,000 for which 360 polling stations have been set up out of which 47 have been declared sensitive. During the polling, Rangers and police personnel performed their duties while the Pakistan Army was on standby. Placed as a bye. 

No untoward incident took place during the polling while the polling was peaceful. After the voting was completed, the votes were counted. According to the unofficial and unconfirmed results of 280 polling stations, Syeda Noshin Iftikhar of PML-N won with 111,220 votes. Ali Asjad Malhi of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) polled 92,019 votes. 

More than 4,100 police and more than 1,000 Rangers personnel were deployed for security during the elections, besides 10 teams of Pakistan Army are present as Quick Response Force. PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi did not cast his vote. 

According to Geo News correspondent, Ali Asjad Malhi twice came to his hometown where his vote was registered but he did not cast his vote. Ali Asjad Malhi left the polling station twice without casting his vote.

In contrast, PML-N candidate Noshin Iftikhar cast his vote early in the morning. Section 144 was enforced in the constituency on the occasion of by-elections due to which display of all kinds of weapons was banned. For transparent and peaceful elections, the Chief Election Commissioner himself was supervising the elections.

In addition, law enforcement agencies arrested nine people with weapons from the 17th police station in Daska. According to sources, police and Rangers arrested the accused during a patrol and recovered two rifles, an automatic gun, and two pistols from their possession.

Six of the accused have been identified as belonging to PML-N and three to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who have been shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the PML-N candidate has won.
