AKSHAY KUMAR'S FILM 'BELL BOTTOM' BANNED IN SAUDI ARABIA, QATAR, AND KUWAIT
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's action thriller 'Bell Bottom' has been banned from release in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
The film has been released in a few other countries, including India, on August 19, but some of its content has been banned by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait due to controversy. According to the warning was given in the trailer, although the film is inspired by a real event, it is not a copy of real events.
The reason for the ban on the release of Bell Bottom in these countries was the hijacking of an Indian Airlines flight in 1984 by two of the former Prime Ministers of India, Indira Gandhi.
According to the Bollywood commotion, the second part of the film shows the hijackers taking an Indian plane from Dubai to Lahore. As a result, all the hijackers were arrested.
Akshay Kumar is playing the role of an Indian agent in the film, the code of which is Nim Bell Bottom.
There is a national possibility that the censor board in the Middle East may have objected to this point and it was decided to ban the release of the film.
Earlier, with the release of the film's trailers, Laradata had shocked the fans in the form of Indira Gandhi. The actress' transformation was discussed on social media. The film stars Indira Gandhi, a 46-year-old former Miss Universe, for whom her resemblance to the former Prime Minister of India, from her make-up to her astonishing extent, surprised fans.
According to an entertainment site Filmfare, Lara Dutta says, "I was told on the telephone that Lara, we want to sign you for the role of Indira Gandhi, so I agreed without reading the script."
According to the actress, "When you play the role of a big personality, it is also a big responsibility. A lot of research and homework has been done for the film, it's an opportunity I may never see again.
