Former President General Retired Pervez Musharraf passed away in Dubai at the age of 79 after a long illness.

The family of the former president has said that the former president Pervez Musharraf has died in the early morning in the hospital in Dubai.

According to sources, retired general Pervez Musharraf was undergoing treatment at the American Hospital in Dubai for a long time.

Request to bring dead body of Pervez Musharraf to Pakistan

The family of former President General Retired Pervez Musharraf has submitted an application to the Dubai Consulate to take the dead body to Pakistan.

Family sources say that Pervez Musharraf will be laid to rest in Karachi.

According to the sources, the plane from Pakistan will reach Dubai tomorrow morning to take the dead body of Pervez Musharraf.

The special plane will arrive at Dubai's Al Maktoum Airport from Noor Khan Air Base.

It should be noted that former President General Retired Pervez Musharraf's mother is buried in Dubai and his father is buried in Karachi.

Pervez Musharraf was born in Delhi

Former President Pervez Musharraf was born on August 11, 1943 in Delhi, and studied at St. Patrick's High School in Karachi.

Pervez Musharraf later studied at FC College Lahore and was commissioned in the Pakistan Army in 1961.

General retired Pervez Musharraf graduated from Command and Staff College Quetta and also did courses from Royal College and Defense Studies UK.
