INQUIRY AGAINST ME SHOULD NOT BE MADE ON PHONE CALLS, AN INQUIRY COMMITTEE SHOULD BE FORMED, JAHANGIR TAREEN
LAHORE: The interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen has been extended by the Sessions Court until April twenty-two whereas the Banking Court has extended it till April 17. The court summoned the lawyers of the parties for arguments.
Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali appeared in court along with their lawyers and assembly members. During the hearing in the Sessions Court, Jahangir Tareen's lawyer took the position that the FIA had summoned Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen, both of them had appeared and it seems that the FIA will summon him again. So the court has a long history.
Member National Assembly Raja Riaz said that along with Jahangir Tareen, 22 members of the Provincial Assembly and 8 members of the National Assembly have come for support and we are with them.
Talking to the media, Jahangir Tareen said that he thanked all his colleagues who came with him. The inquiry against him is not transparent. A committee should be formed for investigation. If I leave PTI, where will I go?
He alleged that an FIR was lodged against him in Islamabad, came here in USB, and was signed. I am being investigated at the behest of someone, PTI needs justice.
To a question, Jahangir Tareen said that PTI is our party, we are and will remain in the party, we are not running away from the law and will not run away.
Member Punjab Assembly Nazir Chauhan said that we are hearing that a group has been formed, there is no such thing and there is no reality in the matter of becoming a forward bloc, it should not be considered that we are working on an agenda.
Provincial Minister Malik Noman Langarial said that Jahangir Tareen included us in PTI and honored us, we will help Jahangir Tareen, we will go along and strengthen the party.
Along with Jahangir Tareen, six members of the National Assembly and 22 members of the Provincial Assembly also reached the court. , Faisal Jabwana, Khurram Leghari, Aslam Bharwana, Nazir Chauhan, Asif Majeed, Bilal Waraich, Omar Aftab Dhalon, Tahir Randhawa, Zawar Waraich, Nazir Baloch.
On the occasion of the appearance, Jahangir Tareen will be showered with flowers and the workers also chanted slogans while strict security arrangements were also made.
In the Sessions Court, the FIA the lawyer said that Jahangir Tareen is the owner of JDW Sugar Mills. Billions of rupees were illegally transacted in his and his son's account. A case has been registered under laundering.
Lawyer Jahangir Tareen said that the FIA had called Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen yesterday. Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen had appeared at the FIA's request. It seems that the FIA will summon him again.
The lawyer further said that the the situation of Corona is in front, the court should give a long date, on which the Additional Sessions Judge inquired whether there was any objection on the authority of the FIA court, then the lawyer FIA said we have no objection, Order to join navigation.
Judge Hamid Hussain same that the FIA ought to state the role of the defendant, the investigation ought to be clear, all the defendant ought to be enclosed within the FIA investigation, after which the Sessions Court extended the interim bail of both the accused in the corporate fraud case till April 22.
