KARACHI: DELTA VARIANTS ARE SPREADING RAPIDLY AND HOSPITALS ARE RUNNING OUT OF SPACE
Due to the Indian Delta variant of Coronavirus in Karachi, large government and non-government hospitals are running out of space.
The Indus Hospital management says that the corona ward of the Indus Hospital is full of emergency patients and additional beds are being set up to accommodate the patients.
Prof. Abdul Bari said that the situation of Coronavirus has become uncontrollable and the people are requested to follow SOPs and get vaccinated.
Officials of the health department said that there was no room for more patients in the expo center Karachi. Aga Khan Hospital forbade taking more patients from Corona.
On the other hand, doctors and health experts demanded the government impose a health emergency in Karachi due to the rapid spread of Corona's Indian Delta variant.
According to the officials, the rate of delta variant has increased to 92% in Karachi and the rate of coronavirus infection among doctors and medical staff has also started increasing.
It should be noted that the fourth wave of coronavirus is continuing in Pakistan, the number of coronae cases are increasing and 30 more people have died, while the rate of positive cases have come close to 5%.
