ELECTION IN PUNJAB, DECISION TO APPROACH LAHORE HIGH COURT FOR INTERPRETATION OF DECISION




Regarding the date of the election in Punjab, it has been decided to approach the Lahore High Court for the interpretation of the decision in the meeting chaired by Governor Balighur Rehman.

All eyes have been focused on the governor's house after the election in Punjab has not been resolved so far and the Tehreek-e-Insaaf has insisted on holding the election immediately.

In this regard, IG and Chief Secretary Punjab along with Election Commission officials also participated in the meeting chaired by Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman.

In the meeting, the conduct of Punjab Assembly elections was reviewed from various aspects.

According to the sources, in the meeting, it has been decided to approach the Lahore High Court for the interpretation of the decision.

Sources say that the participants in the meeting gave their own constitutional and legal suggestions.

Secretary Election Commission Umar Hameed Khan, DG Law Election Commission, Additional DG Law, Special Secretary and Director Coordinator Election Commission attended the meeting.

It should be noted that as per the order of the Lahore High Court, the Election Commission had requested a meeting with the Governor of Punjab today to consult on the date of general elections in the province.

On the other hand, Imran Khan has announced to start a movement to save the constitution if the election is not held within 90 days.

In the first phase, lawyers, civil society and party leaders will protest, while in the second phase, Imran Khan himself will enter the fray

In the context of the political situation, there will be an important meeting between Imran Khan and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi today.

In this meeting, the date of elections in Punjab will be discussed.

The leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf and Q-League will also decide the strategy related to the election process
